Simple Lemon Juice Cleanse
Lemons, those bright, cheery and sour fruits are one of your best bets for cleansing the body. You may expect that they contain lots of vitamin C, and they do. Lemons also contain vitamin B6, calcium, potassium, pantothenic acid, magnesium, copper, and dietary fiber. They’re also low on the Glycemic Index which means that they don’t cause large fluctuations in blood sugar levels after eating them. Lemons help to alkalize the body which creates an unfavorable environment for viruses and bacteria.
It’s really simple to get fresh lemons into your daily diet. It’s not necessary to do the master cleanse (diluted lemon juice with cayenne pepper) and starve yourself for days. A simple routine of drinking lemon juice in the morning can give you a healthy start to the day.
Simple Lemon Juice Cleanse
Juice of one lemon
8 oz filtered water
8 drops stevia
Try this juice first thing in the morning before consuming other foods or drinks. Wait at least 30 minutes after drinking this juice before eating a healthy breakfast. That’s it!

I had lemon juice cleanse last week, using only half lemon juice with warm water..I was vomitting the whole day and felt nausea, just had to lie on the bed the whole day and night. Is this normal?
I don’t recommend drinking only the lemon juice all day.
Wow Dee…..that means you really need to detox. I remember I knew someone who had the same reaction to raw carrot juice. Before he’d been living the life of a fast food junkie…..no obvious health problems on the surface because of that either, but the moment he swallowed a few mouthfuls of that fresh-squeezed organic carrot juice, he was vomiting it and anything else his stomach could cough up all over the bathtub. Needless to say, it took a while, but now he’s able to drink it without any problem and he drinks it often now that he’s aware of the hidden problems that can store up without you even knowing without the occasional detox.
My mother used to tell me that when you go on a great diet and you suddenly start getting nauseous, you know that it’s working and the body’s trying to purge the tissues of something buried in there….but she also told me that there are very few people who can afford to call in for a few days off at work in the middle of a recession because your busy doing a major detox….so I’d listen to Carey since you have such an obvious reaction to it and cut back on the amount…..definitely don’t just drink the lemon juice until the nausea is either down to a level where it only lasts a few minutes or is no longer there…..and make to do it on a weekend just in case(just kidding(: ).
I was wondering what to do about medications. I have to take synthroid 2 hrs. before i eat anything. What effect does lemon juice have on medications? I also take high blood pressure medicine and cholesterol meds. later in the morning.
